DIRECTOR

Julia is an executive leader with experience in high visibility, purpose-driven organizations that span higher education, international development, and media. She has 20+ years experience in public affairs, brand building and marketing and is currently the Director of Strategic Communications at the Future Skills Centre, a pan-Canadian research centre at Toronto Metropolitan University helping Canadians prepare for the future of work.

Julia is passionate about elevating the communications practice and is pleased to join the accomplished group of Board Directors of CPRS Toronto. She also sits on the equity, diversity and inclusion taskforce and governance committee of CPRS National, drawing on her professional and lived experience. As a long-time advocate for equitable access to social, educational, and professional programs she sits on the Board of a local arts council and various college program advisory committees. Julia has a degree in journalism from Carleton University, a master degree from McMaster University’s MCM program, change management certification and accreditation in public relations (APR).
