New categories, updated judging criteria for 2025

The Achieving Communications Excellence (ACE) Awards has celebrated Toronto’s talented and innovative public relations community for over twenty-eight years. An ACE Award is synonymous with talented insight and skillful execution, helping to raise the winner’s profile, generate new business opportunities, and elevate the profession across organizations and sectors.

This year, we have added two new categories – Best Use of Audio or Video in a PR Campaign and Best Use of AI in a PR Campaign.

Join us for our upcoming webinar to learn more about the CPRS Toronto ACE Awards submission requirements, updates to the judging criteria along with strategies and tips on developing a winning entry. The session will be delivered by past judges and winners who will provide firsthand insights on being successful.

This interactive workshop, powered by Meltwater, will include insights into how AI is changing the PR and media landscape. We will cover topics including best AI practices and tools, as well as tips for effective prompt writing.

Ally MacLellan, Director, Integrated Intelligence & Technology, Proof Strategies

Ally MacLellan is the Director, Integrated Intelligence & Technology at Proof Strategies. She leads the application and integration of the agency’s ecosystem of current and future technologies into communications strategies and day-to-day work. Ally has been with Proof Strategies since May 2016, when she joined as an intern, and has experience in SaaS, media relations, consumer insights, influencer marketing, paid media, analytics and client services. When not testing out the newest AI technologies, Ally can be found outdoors training for her next triathlon!

 

 

Amit Shilton, Senior Director, Corporate & Technology, Agnostic

Amit Shilton is a Senior Director on the Corporate & Technology team at Agnostic. With over a decade in Canada’s largest newsrooms, Amit knows how to tell a story and how to make sure it finds itself in front of the right audiences. Before joining Agnostic, Amit led communications for one of Canada’s largest hospital networks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to that, he served as the Toronto Star’s Toronto Editor and Breaking News Editor, as well as an editor at The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business, The Canadian Press and The National Post.
