| With more than 15 years of extensive communications planning experience, Dana Dean is currently Senior Advisor, Corporate Communications for Royal Bank of Canada. Dana's responsibilities include designing and implementing communications strategies related to major change initiatives as well as providing strategic communications counsel and support on a wide range of business initiatives.
Prior to joining Royal Bank, Dana worked for some of Canada's leading communications agencies and gained considerable experience serving corporate, government, consumer packaged goods and not-for-profit clients. Dana developed and executed issues management, media relations, event planning and community relations programs to clients such as Procter & Gamble, IBM, Xerox, Digital, Mattel Canada and the Hong Kong and Japanese governments.
Dana holds a Bachelor of Public Relations (BPR) from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in political science from the University of Victoria. She has been an accredited member of CPRS since 1990 and has served as a member of the Toronto CPRS Board executive including most recently as Toronto Chapter President (1999-2000).
