Ian Ross, APR
Senior Advisor, Communications
Cabinet Office, Government of Ontario



Ian Ross is the team leader for the Ontario Ministry of Education’s public affairs branch. He has also worked at the ministry as a senior information officer and event coordinator. Prior to joining the government, he was employed as a project manager of a national health news study and as a reporter at several newspapers. He has also held public relations positions at several non-profit agencies.

He is currently the immediate past president of CPRS (Toronto). He previously served as president (2006-07) and marketing and promotions chair (2005-06). He has also provided public relations support as a volunteer to Scouts Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Ian achieved his APR designation in 2007. He also holds a Master’s degree in communication at Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor’s degree in media, information & technoculture and political science at the University of Western Ontario.
