Christine A. Smith
Corporate Communications & Public Relations


As an adult educator working with students of Corporate Communication at Centennial College's Bell Centre for Creative Communications, Christine teaches a variety of subjects from media relations to marketing communications to news writing. In addition, she assists with applicant selection, program promotion and administration.

She previously held communications positions with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, the Scarborough Board of Education and Union Gas Limited. Trained as a journalist, she also worked for a number of Ontario dailies.

She is a former faculty advisor to the CPRS Student Steering Committee, and past member of CPRS's Instructors Committee, the college's Academic Framework Committee and Visual Identity Committee and was a founding member of the Canadian Association of Communicators in Education.

From 1996 to 1998, she was a member of the CPRS Board and directed the activities of the communications portfolio, editing PR Perspective, the members' quarterly newsletter.
