| As the founder and principal of CGL Communications, Corinne LaBossiere, ABC, APR, helps individuals and organizations communicate effectively – online, in print and in person.
After working in public relations and marketing for corporations, a professional service firm and an agency, Corinne launched her own consulting practice, CGL Communications (www.cglcom.com). Working with a network of associates, she plans and implements relationship-building marketing, branding, public and media relations strategies and produces communication tools that attract, engage and persuade. Corinne is also an award-winning writer with experience in diverse media. Her clients include nonprofit organizations, professional service firms, small businesses and global corporations.
Corinne accesses the world’s best communications practices and enhances her skills through active involvement with the Canadian Public Relations Society and the International Association of Business Communicators. She is an accredited public relations practitioner (APR) with CPRS and an accredited business communicator (ABC) with IABC.
Believing that a strong nonprofit sector is important for healthy communities, Corinne is also an active volunteer. She recently served as an engagement manager with Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits, working on a communications project with the Kids' Internet Safety Alliance. In the past, she served as a communications volunteer for Mary Centre, which supports individuals with developmental challenges; as a board member of The Dorothy Ley Hospice; and as public relations counsel for the Toronto chapter of Parkinson Society Canada. She has also been a literacy tutor for the LAMP Community Health Centre; a reader/visitor for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind; and co-chair of the public relations committee of the Toronto branch of the Canadian Diabetes Association.
