Sarah is currently a Partner at Kennedy Jones & Sweeney Inc., a firm providing strategic advice and counsel, specializing in communications and privacy, to clients in the public, private and not for profit sectors. Prior to launching KJ&S with Brenda Sweeney, APR, she was the Principal at Kennedy Jones & Associates. Previously, she was Director of Communications for the Trillium Gift of Life Network in Toronto, Ontario and Director of Communications with the Ministry of Consumer and Business Services, Government of Ontario.

She has also served as Director, Advertising and New Media in Cabinet Office, Manager of Communications with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner, and has held several other communications positions with the governments of Ontario and Alberta. Prior to her career in government, Sarah was a reporter with The Medicine Hat News, Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Sarah is accredited (APR) with CPRS and has been a CPRS member since 1984. She has served as a member of the board of the CPRS societies in Edmonton and Toronto, and is a past president of CPRS (Toronto) Inc. She was CPRS’ National President for the year 2000 – 01. She is currently a member of the National Accreditation Council as Deputy Presiding Officer, Appeals and is the Presiding Officer of the National Judicial and Ethics Committee.

Sarah served as a member of Humber College’s Advisory Committee for the Public Relations Program for six years, is a past co-chair of the Ontario Government's Council of Communications Directors and past vice-president, Communications, for the Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs. She has a BA (Hons) from Queen’s University.
