Mark Hunter LaVigne, APR
President
Hunter LaVigne Communications

Mark LaVigne is President of Hunter LaVigne Communications Inc., an Aurora-based creative communications consultancy, with a specialty in the organizational/news interface, including media relations, media training, communications consulting and program management.

Within a strategic public affairs framework, Hunter LaVigne can also expand program recommendations and execution to other marketing communication vehicles such as cross-promotions and advertising. The “brand” is HLC’s focus.

Mark knows both sides of the “media fence” well: he has five years experience as a radio journalist and more than 12 years in public relations agencies.

After completing a Master of Arts in Journalism at the University of Western Ontario’s Graduate School of Journalism, Mark worked as a radio journalist in Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto. Prior to UWO, he completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and English at York University.

He sits on the Advisory Council to the Graduate School of Journalism, University of Western Ontario. He is also Secretary on the Board of Directors at Yellow Brick House, an Aurora-based women’s shelter that serves York Region.
