Karen Dalton, APR
Executive Director
Canadian Public Relations Society, Inc.

Karen Dalton, an accomplished writer and editor, has 24 years experience working in the fields of print journalism and corporate communications as well as government and not-for-profit communications. Ms. Dalton has extensive experience with publication design and content development. After seven years in the Corporate Affairs Department of Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, she formed Dalton Communications Inc. in 1989, a firm specializing in business-to-business communications services. Prior to joining Sun Life, Karen held editorial positions with a number of industrial trade and business magazines.

Karen graduated with an Honours Journalism degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1976 and received her Accredited Public Relations (APR) status from the Canadian Public Relations Society in 1991. Karen has been an active member of CPRS since 1982 and has worked with the Program, Education and Communications Committees over the years. She was elected to the CPRS Board of Directors in 1999.
